It is true what they say
about your home, it really does reflect you and your character. The details you choose to add to the front
yard, the way you paint it, and the look of your landscaping all tell the world
from the outside a good bit about you, just from looking at the details of your
home. Two things that are most
noticeable on first glance of any home are the windows and siding.
If your house is like you,
personally, in how it makes a first appearance on new people who have just met
it for the first time from the street, the windows may be most like your eyes
and the siding is like the clothes you wear.
Both can show character, reflect style, and can go from easy care and basic
functionality to high-fashion, high-maintenance, high-style.
Window treatments on the
outside of the home can range from elaborate and large additions, similar to
flashy eyeglasses that may bring attention to your eyes. Some examples of eye-catching features
include shutters or awnings, alongside or over the windows themselves. On the other hand, simple and basic touches,
like plain trim that is painted in a contrasting color to the siding of your
house can bring just the right note of class and color to the face of your
home.
The siding, like the suit you
wear to work on a regular basis, has to be functional, built to last through
the years, and has to look good. There
are options, of course, ranging from wood-panel style for a rustic look to
metal siding that may be weatherproof and never need painting or refinishing
for the life of your home.
The look you decide to go
with will be as unique as you and your family.
No two homes are just the same, and it is in the details like windows
and siding that you can show your style.
